Cabinet approved two major tunnel projects in J&K

The Cabinet approved two strategic tunnel projects in Jammu and Kashmir. These projects will provide all-weather connectivity between the Kashmir Valley and Jammu. The tunnels will bypass difficult stretches of NH-244 affected by adverse weather conditions. Improved road infrastructure will boost regional connectivity and economic activity. These projects are fully Centre-funded and will be completed in five years.
