A 27-year-old coach has been sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment by a special POCSO court for sexually abusing a 10-year-old student during badminton practice. The judge emphasized that slapping and pinching cannot be considered as punishment for mistakes. The victim had been coached by the accused for a month and a half prior to the incident. The judge stated that the intentional touching and inappropriate punishment were unacceptable.
