Nineteen enemy properties in Uttar Pradesh were sold through e-auction on September 9, 2023, generating over Rs 2709 crore. The proceeds of sale are deposited in the Consolidated Fund of India, as per Section 8A of the Enemy Property Act, 1968. The valuation of immovable enemy property is conducted by a committee chaired by the district magistrate. The valuation reports are then reviewed by the enemy property disposal committee, which makes recommendations to the Central government.
