Jayalalithaa Amit Shah continued in office while facing trials: Tamil Nadu CM Stalin

In his letter to governor R N Ravi a month ago, chief minister M K Stalin sought to point out that there was no legal bar for a person facing an investigation to continue as a cabinet minister. Even former AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa continued as chief minister while facing trial in a criminal case, and Union home minister Amit Shah continued as a minister in the Gujarat government when facing trial in a case registered by the CBI, he stated.
