New Parliament opening: 20 parties say they’ll boycott, 17 to attend

Twenty opposition parties have announced a boycott of the ceremony to unveil the new Parliament building on Sunday, arguing that the inauguration by PM Narendra Modi by “sidelining” President Droupadi Murmu constitutes a “grave insult and direct assault on democracy”.
